Dear Women Everywhere, a few in specific...
totheluckless: Contrary to popular belief, guys don’t all look for that pretty bimbo. Sure, their eyes will linger on her physique for a while longer than others and sure, they may take her home with them but no man would want to give his heart to that stunning bimbo. Believe it or not, men do dream of love much like women do. Their desires for affection are not as openly discussed and therefore...

– Black Teen Mom Denied Valedictorian Title : Ms Magazine Blog (via becauseiamawoman) Ugh. This is just sickening. Heaven forbid someone breaks their precious stereotype and actually becomes a successful, single, black mother. Oh nooooeeessss! We can’t have that! My brain can’t expand beyond...

So...
I keep seeing posts on here about women wanting to be allowed to go around topless as men do. I can even understand the argument from biology that yes, they are primarily for breastfeeding infants as all mammals do. But it just seems to ignore the sociological/anthropological stuff - that humans are not just evolutionary creatures like most animals are. We build societies and live by certain ideas...

Gut Feelings: The Intelligence of the Unconscious
Not quite finished yet, but I am loving it - probably because it affirms what I have already done my entire life. I never try to have all the information (which is probably why I have had issues with picking a major), but rather, I want the basics and the relevant facts to the situation at hand. Sure sometimes I am wrong, but who isn’t, even with “all” the facts? Intuition >...

I may have a reason I enjoy biking so much...
It comes naturally. It requires no thought process on my part. My balance happens on its own and the more I let go, the easier the ride becomes - to the point that my hands have become virtually unnecessary in the process.

I am not a student so that I can make money later on. I am a student because I enjoy learning and the discussions that ensue in and out of the classroom. If that isn’t why you are here, that’s fine… but don’t think for a moment snide remarks that I’ll never “make it” hurt. As far as I’m concerned, I already have made it.

Challenge Day 6 - 5 People Who Mean a lot to You
In no order: Mom: she not only brought me into the world, but she essentially raised me and my little brother all alone. Was life perfect? Far from. But I was never forced or asked to be the perfect son either - if it wasn’t for her, I wouldn’t be where I am: the first person in my family to be in college. Nicole: my little sis - not biologically related, and not younger than me....

Challenge Day 5 - 6 Things You Wish You Hadn't...
I don’t have that many… so how about things I want to do instead? 6. Visit a country outside of America - preferably I’d like to see Ireland, England and India at some point. 5. Get my Ph.D - what field(s) has yet to be decided.  4. Marriage - down the line, I want it.  3. Kid(s) - as above, but WAY down the line, I want to. I think I could do okay by kids and I love being...
